Peter & Lesha Online

10 November 2009

Lesha asked me to take more pictures, and I agreed. I spent the afternoon walking around and tried to snap a picture every 15-20 mins or so. I tried to get random things that you might see if you were walking around.

OK, so this isn't a very good picture of Taiwan. It's the hotel room. Just wanted to give you an idea of what it looks like.

One thing I have seen often while traveling is little reminders of how the rest of the world views the current environmental situation. Here is just one example.

The Taibei Sports Center. I walked past here at least half-a-dozen times. Very cool looking building.

Taipei Sports Center. I took this picture just to get a good shot of the roof.

There really is a Starbucks on every street corner. Including this one in Taipei.

When you work for a grocery chain you think grocery stores are interesting. This is the inside of "Welcome" one of the most popular (as far as I can tell) grocery chains in Taiwan. I'm standing at the front of the store, so you can tell the store is not very big.

What's a popular brand of toothpaste in Taiwan? Why "Black Man Toothpaste" of course. You just cannot make this stuff up.

It's late here, so this is all I have for now. I promise I'll put up more in the morning when I wake up.

Glad you are having a good time. I enjoyed seeing the pictures too. I've been trying to remember if I've seen these type of pictures from your mission and I don't think so (at least not of the mission home & temple). Thanks for sharing.
